To celebrate the Jordan Brand Flight Tour to China, The Jordan Brand created three special edition colorways for athletes Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade and Chris Paul’s signature shoes. The shoes were based on Chinese Opera Masks and incorporated the characteristics of each athlete paying homage to Chinese culture. Each colorway is tied to a specific story that is connected to Jordan Brand athlete’s Fly Around (Quick), Fly Over (Air), and Fly Through (Explosive) silos.
The Melo M7 ADVANCE is Team Jordan athlete Carmelo Anthony’s seventh signature shoe with the Jordan Brand and first Jordan performance shoe to feature Flywire technology. The MELO M7 ADVANCE represents versatility and mimics Melo’s senses of knowing when to attack and take advantage of a situation. With a green, black, and white colorway for The Flight Tour edition, the MELO M7 ADVANCE takes Chinese inspiration to capture Melo’s persona into the shoe. Green represents Melo’s impulsiveness while the black represents Melo’s fierce and rough nature on the court. The white detail in the shoe portrays the craftiness of Melo’s game. The red is used to accent the MELO M7 ADVANCE and symbolizes Melo’s courage and loyalty to the game. With a color combination such as this, fire will definitely explode through an explosive game.
