Same as the MA-1 edition, the MTG580 B-3 is also inspired by flight jacket. However, unlike the MA-1 jacket-inspired joints that are made mostly out of synthetic materials, these feature some sweet looking weathered leather on the uppers. Whilst the MA-1s employ the velcro name patch concept onto the kicks, the design references for these are much more subtle. Apart from the tongue label, the only other detail is a nod to the wool lining found on the jackets, which New Balance have placed underneath the tongue.
