Inspired by one of the greatest military general “Zhao Yun” in Chinese literature. Chris Paul demonstrates himself as a warrior in basketball court and combining ancient military elements in his Jordan Brand signature shoe CP3.II. The graphics around the ankle and back heel area are inspired by his armor and weapon – spear. Zhao Yun has been a central character in the popular Dynasty Warriors video game series and nicknamed “The Little Dragon”.

To further fill the shoe with Chinese concepts, some numeric characters in Chinese are featured on it. After breaking the code we can see “乙丑年 辛巳月 戌午日” which represents his birthday “1985 5 6″. “陆拾壹″ means “61″, Paul scored 61 points in honor of his grandfather, Nathaniel Jones, who, only days before, had been beaten to death in his own driveway during a robbery. “壹佰零陆” – successive steals in 106 games (This record is further increased to 108 games).

The shoe will hit House of Hoops and stores in China in August.
