2009 marks the 60th anniversary of the iconic 3-Stripes trademark of adidas. To celebrate the 60 years of Soles and Stripes, adidas unveiled the largest global brand campaign ever for adidas Originals under Celebrate Originality in March 2009. The campaign is set against the backdrop of a house party hosting an electric mix of people from the worlds of music, fashion and sport. At this special occasion, adidas not only greeted and met the public through an integrated marketing campaign of advertising, online, PR and retail, but also launched this “adidas Stan Smith Charity Bidding” to encourage all adidas fans to reach out to those who are in need through the Right to Play China.

Starting from today (March 23) till April 5, adidas holds an “adidas Stan Smith Classic Sneakers Exhibition” in J-01 at Paterson Street, Causeway Bay. In the exhibition, 30 pairs of the Stan Smith 80s which were autographed by an adidas icon and legendary tennis player Stan Smith are put in auction for charity purpose. All proceeds from the auction, with cost excluded, will be donated to the humanitarianism organization – Right to Play China, to redevelop Sichuan after the massive destructive earthquake.

由3月23日起，adidas將於銅鑼灣百德新街J-01的「adidas Stan Smith 經典球鞋展」內舉行「Stan Smith球鞋慈善拍賣」活動，拍賣30對由品牌靈魂人兼傳奇網球手Stan Smith親筆簽名的經典復刻型號Stan Smith 80s珍藏球鞋。，拍賣所得之善款扣除成本後將全數撥捐國際人道主義組織Right To Play China，用以支持四川地震後災區重建計劃。

“adidas Stan Smith Classics Exhibition” is now held in J-01 till April 5, all the classic collectible sneakers from Stan Smith series are provided by Stan Smith fans in Hong Kong. The exhibits include 8 pairs of Stan Smith classic sneakers from 60s to 80s. These have not only demonstrated the Stan Smith series transformation, but have also recalled our great memory from the past. Stan Smith fans are welcome to come and show their support to the adidas legendary icon, to experience his greatest moments throughout his amazing career.

2009 marks the 60th anniversary of adidas, adidas Originals’ design will base on the concept of “60 years of Soles and Stripes”, and the number of [60．09] (60th anniversary; 2009). adidas Originals will launch multiple series, including, 60 Years of Soles & Stripes、Women Select、Originals by Originals and adicolor, which tribute to its founder Adi Dassler, demonstrate all the classic project and bring out the originality spirits of Celebrate Originality.
