Inspired from the Chinese Animal Zodiac 12 year cycle, Nike is releasing Chinese New Year pack once a year. 2009 is the Year of the Ox. This shoe features various inspiration from the Ox, the “吃苦耐勞” Chinese characters on the tongue translated to English means “perseverance” or “hard work”. Denim is used on tongues and the area of eyelets. And a cow image is featured on the back heel. Expect to launch in the market around the Lunar New Year period in late January.
