Designer – Koji Nayuki
TORAI means “bring here”; DU MONDE means “entering the international market”. The brand name expresses the wish to send the products to the hands of people throughout the world. Designer of Torai Du Monde is Koji Nayuki, who born in Chiba Ken in Japan.
Koji Nayuki originally was a manufacturer of furniture, and at the same time, he also began to produce small leather products. His staffs learned the basic skills of making leather bags manually after taking some training courses provided. In August 2006, Koji Nayuki launched his brand – Torai Du Monde and mainly focus in creating leather accessories.
Torai Du Monde設計師名雪宏治 (Koji Nayuki),出生於日本千葉縣,早年致力從事家具設計和生產,也不時推出一些小皮具製品。由於對皮革的認識日漸增加,名雪宏治先為員工提供不同訓練,強化他們的皮具生產和設計力,於2006年8月,推出配飾品牌Todai Du Monde,以出品皮革配飾為主。設計概念來自歐洲的優質朱古力和高級甜餅店,店內賣相精緻的朱古力和甜餅令他聯想到藝術品,於是把此概念以優質皮革表現出來。

Torai Du Monde adopts prudently selected leather from Europe (mainly from Italy) and lays great importance to the traditional skill and delicacy of the products.
Torai Du Monde意即「帶到世界各地」,寓意設計師希望自己的創作不止讓日本人愛戴,更希望得到不同國家的人認同,讓品牌走出國際。在這信念底下,Torai Du Monde每一件產品也取材自歐洲出口的優質皮革,尤以意大利為主。名雪宏治為設計注入嶄新創意的同時,亦很著重皮革的細節和員工對生產的傳統技術,確保每一件出品也以最優質的姿態走向市場。

Having rich experience in designing products with iron, wood and glass materials, Koji Nayuki’s next plan is to create new collections with these kinds of materials other than leather.
名雪宏治除了對皮革有深厚的認識外,早年致力家具創作時,亦經常接觸到鐵、木和玻璃等材料,深切理解當中的運用和處理技巧,故此希望在不久將來為Torai Du Monde注入這類材料,令品牌配飾系列更豐富。
