Nike Air Force 1 25th New York Series will be released next month in Hong Kong. We have taken some detailed shots on part of this series. Bright colors and reflective materials are the theme for this series while Vibram outsole is featured on the Rosie’s Dry Goods AF1 Supreme.

Gauchos
IN NEW YORK THE AAU GAUCHOS BECAME A DISTINCT PART of the menagerie of New York City basketball, a team whose mark has been left on the game and whose role in defining the sport did not go unnoticed. The urban grit and cosmopolitan elegance of New York has given supreme context to the story of basketball culture, and the city’s stylish pursuit of on-court excellence was influenced by the arrival of the Air Force 1. The Gauchos and neighborhood courts in the Bronx, Harlem and in other sections of the city embraced the AF1 and told its story to others.
Rosie’s Dry Goods
The basketball footwear in the New York collection evince the flash and showmanship of the Big Apple’s best ballers and its courts. For these athletes, Nike created AF1s as sophisticated as they are strong, and as smooth as they are sturdy. To symbolize this combination, the NYC shoes draw upon the inspiration of Patterson Square, Rosie’s Dry Goods and the Gauchos. Graphic highlights celebrate these New York institutions with roses and a thorn ball signifying Rosie’s, CHOZ ’78 commemorates the Gauchos’ inaugural year in the AAU program and a design pulled straight from the Patterson Square backboard is a tribute to that legendary court.
Patterson Square Gardens
For a touch of class, an embossed gator pattern reoccurs throughout the shoes, culminating in the black on black supreme model that features a reflective gator pattern for extra attitude on the court or in the club. This supreme model – along with a few of the others – is also constructed with a colorful outsole for a quick hit of style. Another reoccurring theme across the various uppers of green, yellow, white and orange is that of a rainbow. The rainbow represents New York’s melting-pot mentality and unites all the shoes in this line, just as the AF1 has united all the elements of one the greatest basketball cities in the world.
