Zoom LeBron IV
The Zoom LeBron IV, engineered for LeBron James, is where the next generation of the NBA meets the next generation of footwear. Inspired by the personality and play of LeBron James, the Zoom LeBron IV is the pinnacle of basketball footwear.
LeBron James is the new generation’s hero. And the new generation’s hero needs footwear that is more revolutionary than anything before. Keeping in mind LeBron’s preferences from previous shoes, Nike’s designers have engineered the Zoom LeBron IV to be both comfortable and flexible, a shoe that lets him stay in control.
The upper is constructed utilizing Foamposite technology. Regarded as highly sophisticated basketball technology, Foamposite provides an integrated upper and midsole for seamless comfort and support. The one-piece Foamposite upper basically shrink-wraps the foot while helping to keep it cool.
Material over the Foamposite technology locks the upper down to the sole. A full-length Zoom Air unit in the midsole was added for the ultimate responsive ride. And a clear outsole with solid rubber herringbone pods provides excellent on-court traction. Each color combination of the Zoom LeBron IV is adorned with influences from LeBron’s life.

Quotes:
“Overall, the Air Zoom LeBron IV is the most versatile basketball shoe that we have. Not only from a comfort standpoint, but from a transition standpoint. It’s bulletproof. It’s based on the fact that if you take care of LeBron James you can take care of most athletes. And I think the fact that it’s built for the pinnacle [player] of the game means you’re going to get the pinnacle of all basketball shoes.â€
Ken Link, Senior Footwear Designer
“It’s a little bit different from the normal construction of a shoe. Normally you have an outsole, midsole, the upper and then a sockliner. And that kind of speaks to the revolutionary construction of the shoe—the Zoom sockliner and the midsole are all one piece.â€
