Nike’s celebration of AIR continues with the company’s Fall 06 [co]+LAB project. The latest [co]+LAB is a collaboration between Nike, Medicom Toy Japan, Bruce Kilgore (the Director of Advanced Research and Development at Nike, and the designer of the Air Force 1, the Dunk, and the Jordan II), Colette Paris, Sneaker Freaker Magazine Australia, and the Paris/New York/Tokyo based artist collective Surface to Air. Each unit designed their own tee and Be@rbrick inspired by AIR. All t-shirts are individually packed in a clear plastic AIR bag and are accompanied by a Be@brick in matching design. The whole set will launch in Hong Kong on July 4th and are available at Nike Shops Sogo and Parklane.

Bruce Kilgore – Inspired by the technology itself, focuses on the Blowfish which he finds similar to the Airsole Technology. The sole expands and compresses, just like the blowfish does. Nature-Tech. T-shirt available in 2 different colorways – beige and black.
Colette – Using their signature dogs Peperone and Caperino, updated with a playful seasonal AIR theme of a child’s bubble and wand. Very light-hearted, fun design which reminisces of the joys of childhood through AIR.
Sneaker Freaker – Motivated by the Air Stabb. A running shoes originally designed in 1987. He pays homage to this shoe with an updated deconstructed view of the shoe. Also uses bright pop colors very representative of the 80′s. T-shirt available in 2 different colorways – black and blue.
Surface to Air – Travel by AIR is the theme of their oversized graphic print featuring hot air balloons way up in the clouds. AIR, it takes you place, it helps you to rise above. T-shirt available in 2 different colorways – baby blue and green. (Matching Be@rbrick not available during photo session)
